PRIVACY

VERSION 1.1 / EFFECTIVE 22 OCTOBER 2026
PUBLIC IS NOT PRIVATE.
A marketplace profile can be visible while contact, transfer, evidence, payment, and identity information stays restricted to the people and systems that need it.
01

WHAT THIS NOTICE COVERS

This notice covers the Pass website, app, secondary marketplace, support operations, event catalogue, transaction workflows, and AI-assisted operational tools. Some features remain pre-launch or mocked until production identity, payment, evidence-storage, and provider controls are enabled.
02

INFORMATION PASS MAY HANDLE

Depending on the feature used, Pass may handle:
• account and profile information, including username and membership details;
• private contact, identity, transfer-destination, and account-administration information;
• event, ticket source/issuer, listing, offer, order, and fee-snapshot information;
• transfer evidence metadata and securely provided evidence artifacts;
• support communications and dispute claims;
• settlement/payment references, amounts, statuses, and reconciliation metadata, but not card credentials in Pass client source;
• fraud, risk, compliance, review, and auditable action records;
• device and technical request information actually produced by hosting, security, and diagnostics, such as IP address, browser/app details, timestamps, and requested pages;
• factual event catalogue and source information from organisers, venues, ticketing platforms, and other public sources.
03

PUBLIC MARKETPLACE PROFILE

Approved public seller fields may include username, membership date, completed transaction or fulfilment history, fulfilment rate, and verification indicators. Public listings may show ticket/event information, quantity, asking price, and those public seller fields.
Email, phone, legal name, address, identity number, banking information, private transfer destination, buyer identity, evidence artifacts, and unrelated account data are not public marketplace fields.
04

WHY PASS USES INFORMATION

Pass uses the minimum information needed to operate accounts and listings; display public market information; facilitate offers, orders, payment/settlement, ticket fulfilment and transfer; provide support; prevent abuse; review evidence and disputes; reconcile transactions; keep auditable records; improve event catalogue quality; secure the service; and meet applicable obligations.
05

AI-ASSISTED + DETERMINISTIC SYSTEMS

AI-assisted systems may help classify and route support, draft responses, classify ticket source and transfer evidence, flag risk, prepare disputes, normalise event categories, detect potential duplicate events, reconcile workflows, assist refund processing, and triage privacy/compliance requests.
Deterministic systems—not free-form model judgment—apply money calculations, fee snapshots, eligibility checks, permissions, state transitions, and idempotent workflow rules. Materially consequential cases such as conflicting evidence, significant disputes, consequential suspected fraud, permanent restrictions, and privacy/legal edge cases may be escalated for human review. Request a review or challenge through Support.
06

WHO MAY PROCESS INFORMATION

Pass uses appropriately governed service providers for hosting, databases/storage, payments, seller payouts, customer communications, analytics, security, fraud prevention, and operational tooling. Yoco processes information needed for buyer checkout. PayAccSys processes the beneficiary and payment-instruction information needed for eligible seller payouts.
Information should be shared by purpose and least privilege. A support agent does not need banking data; a transfer verifier does not need unrelated profile data; and public marketplace queries do not receive private profile or transfer information.
07

EVIDENCE, SECURITY + RETENTION

Ticket QR codes and barcodes can enable admission and are highly sensitive. Do not send them through an ordinary support message. Pass aims to restrict evidence access, keep an audit trail, and retain information only as long as needed for the transaction, safety, dispute, legal, and operational purposes that apply.
No system is perfectly secure. Production evidence storage, access controls, encryption, retention schedules, and deletion processes will be finalised before live evidence is accepted at scale.
08

YOUR PRIVACY REQUESTS

Use Support to request access, correction, deletion, or other applicable privacy assistance, or to challenge a materially consequential automated outcome. Pass may need to verify identity and may retain information where a transaction, dispute, security, fraud-prevention, legal, or recordkeeping requirement applies.
Final request handling, timelines, automated-decision wording, lawful bases, cross-border processing, and retention rules will be reviewed against the Protection of Personal Information Act and other applicable South African law before production launch.
09

EVENT CATALOGUE + CORRECTIONS

Pass may compile factual public event information from organisers, venues, ticketing platforms, and other public sources. Third-party event names, brands, and artwork remain subject to their owners’ rights; inclusion does not imply a partnership or endorsement.
Organisers, providers, and rightsholders can use Support to request a metadata correction, report an inaccurate event, or raise a content concern.
